Today Kevin and I talk about the three stages of growth, and how to practically apply them so that we are navigate life awake, consciously, and guided by love.

Do you ever feel like sometimes you find ways to shoot yourself in the foot? Even when we have the best of intentions; whether it comes to sticking to this year’s nutrition challenge or your next big life goal, whatever it may be.

That’s called Self-Sabotage.

You see, we are a collection of parts. Little parts that make up the fabric of who we are. Let’s call these parts, “Little I’s” or “Little you’s.” We develop parts about ourselves as we navigate life and experience all of life’s offerings and lessons. YOU ARE A COLLECTION OF PARTS SPANNING THE DURATION OF YOUR LIFE. These parts are there to protect you, subconsciously or consciously, whether we know it or not. These parts, or “Little I’s” pop up as thoughts in our minds.

You know, those same thoughts and feelings that pop up when someone verbally curses at you, and all of a sudden you’re thinking to yourself:

”HOW DARE THIS PERSON….!!!” as your fist balls up.

Whatever it may be, these thoughts pop into your mind because a part of you is trying to protect you from feeling belittled. That part of you is defending your honor or your self worth. It’s protecting you from feeling something negative, a feeling of shame, or some sort of hurt. But let me remind you, these thoughts are not really you. You see, you have the freedom to disassociate and not identify with those thoughts. This is where the miracle happens. And in doing so, it is that exact moment you start to transform, awaken, and reach a higher state of consciousness.
